Step 2: Edit content settings
In Brightspace you can edit the content settings including:
Setting the assignment to graded or ungraded.
Total points.
Due Date (Brightspace does not sync the due date with Savvas Realize).
If the content opens in a new tab or is embedded within the Brightspace page.
Step by step directions
Click on the Savvas item you want to edit. Click on the menu and select Edit.
To manage the grade settings, click on Add and Manage Grade Items.
Under Add and Manage Grade Items you can set the max points for the assignment. All items in Savvas are graded in percent, however Brightspace will convert the score to the max points you set for the assignment.
If you want the item to be ungraded, you can select Reset to Ungraded. By default all items you import are set to graded.
You can set the Due Date for the assignment.
Important: Currently Brightspace does not send Savvas the due date for the assignment. Savvas requires a due date and assigns a due date in Savvas Realize that is a month from the day the first student opens the assignment.
You can also set the start date and end date of the assignment by selecting the Availability Dates section.
Important: Brightspace does not provide the start and end date of the assignment to Savvas. Instead, when Savvas creates the class assignment and it sets the start date in Savvas Realize the moment the first student opens the assignment from Brightspace.
Savvas Realize does not have an end date. Students can access the assignment after the end date inside of Realize.
By default Brightspace displays the Savvas content in a new tab, which is recommended. Opening in a new tab means that the Savvas content can take up the full width of the screen.
If you want the content to open within the Brightspace window, select Embed on the page.
