Step 1: Add Savvas materials
In this tutorial you will learn how to add a Savvas materials to your course in Schoology using the Savvas Realize Course Connect app where you can find Savvas program content by:
Table of Contents / Program Search
Global Search
My Library including your custom assessments, uploads, and items from your Savvas Realize playlists.
Step by step directions
Launching the Savvas Realize Discover tool
To add Savvas materials to your Schoology course simply start by clicking on the Add Materials button and then the Savvas Realize Course Connect app.
Subscribing to Savvas programs
If you are launching the Savvas Realize app for the first time you will be asked to select the programs you are interested in using.
Note: If your Schoology account was linked to your existing Savvas account, you will see the programs you were already using with Savvas Realize.
Select the Savvas program(s) you want to add and then select OK.
In the future if you ever need to add additional Savvas programs, simply click on your name and then select My Programs.
Finding Savvas content
You will now be taken to the Savvas Realize Discover tool where you will see the Savvas programs that you are subscribed to. You can find content by:
Selecting a program and navigate by the table of contents/program search or
Selecting the magnifying glass to search for content from all programs (global search) or
Select "My Library" and select your custom assessments and content or content from your Playlists.

To navigate by the table of contents/program search, simply click on the Savvas program you are interested in using. Use the table of contents to drill down to desired content or use the program search to find desired content.

2. Finding Savvas content using the magnifying glass (global search)
To use the search functionality simply click on the magnifying glass icon.
Use keywords, filters, and instructional categories to find the content you are looking for. Search results from all subscribed programs will be displayed.
3. Finding content from your Savvas Realize My Library
You can add content from your Savvas Realize My Library including any custom assessments and content that you created or was shared with you in Savvas Realize. You can also find your Playlists where you can add the individual items from your Playlists to import into your Schoology course.
Note: You cannot import a Playlist. You must select the individual items within your Playlist to be imported into Schoology.
How to preview content
You can preview any item by simply clicking on the title of the item.
From the preview you can interact with the content and preview what your students would see.
To exit and go back simply click on Exit.
How to import content
To add Savvas items to import, simply click on the Import button on the item you want to add. This will add the item to your "shopping cart."
If a page has more than one item to import, you can choose the + Import All button to add all items on that page to the "shopping cart."
You can add as many items as you want. After adding items, you can review the items you added by clicking on the x item(s) added link.
If an item was mistakenly added, you can remove it from the "shopping cart."
To import the Savvas items in your "shopping cart" click on the Import button. This will add the content you selected to your Schoology course.
You will now see the items you selected in your Schoology course.
Important: If you are adding Savvas (or any other content) to your Schoology course and you want the content to be hidden when it is imported, place the content into a unpublished folder. If you add content to a published folder, Schoology will be default make the item published. Click here to learn more.
Test Settings
To prevent students from viewing assessment items after submitting a test, use the Test Settings feature.
